Some of our clients must have a merchant account. In general if you have a merchant account, the funds you collect will go directly to you merchant account and we do not charge you any fees on the funds you receive. The only fee you would pay is the monthly fee for the service. So if you receive a lot of payments, it would be cheaper to pay only the monthly fee.
PayPal acquired BrainTree because of their advanced technology and they now recommend using the BrainTree accounts. It is not yet possible to create accounts in BrainTree (which are different from PayPal accounts) from Israel, but soon it will reach us as well. However, you can get your Braintree credentials from your Israeli PayPal account easily and we'll show you how on this page. In general, BrainTree accounts allow the payer to pay with PayPal or a credit card. You can create a BrainTree account in the US, UK, or Europe, and then you can get money in any currency you want, and we do not recommend doing so in order to receive money in shekels because PayPal conversion fees are very high.
The shortcoming of a BrainTree account is that you can not get regular payments from your customers, for example, every month. If you want to put your customers on a payment plan, the best way is by obtaining a username and password for the REST API. We'll show you how to get sign-in credentials (token or keys) for Bryantry and API REST login information on this page. If the process seems too difficult, you should install TeamViewer on your computer and call us. We will guide you and help you locate your login credentials.
Start by logging into PayPal developer website here. Login with PayPal and you will arrive at "My Apps & Credentials" page. You will see "Express Checkout via Braintree SDK - Live Account" and below it there will be a header Live Account and your email. This is the email you will be asked for to add in our website. Click and generate your live access credentials. Copy the access token and copy it to our website.

Remember the address because you are going to need it. Scroll down a bit more and you will see REST API apps. Click on Create App. Give your app a name (anything) and select the Sandbox account you saw earlier. It will create a Sandbox app for you. Click and change Sandbox to Live on the top left. Copy the live access credentials. Copy the account email, the client id and the secret. Enter them in our website.
Start by logging into BrainTree website here. Once you are logged in, click the 'Settings' link in the top menu and select "API Keys." The keys will be in front of you. Please copy them and add them to our website to a foreign merchant account.
Once you login to the website, select Account Management from the left menu and then click on the link Merchant Accounts. You will see a button called Add PayPal Account. Click the button and select if you want to add a PayPal account or BrainTree account. Add the credentials you retrieved using the instructions on this page.
Once you login to the website, select Account Management from the left menu and then click on the link Merchant Accounts. You will see a button called Add Israeli Account. Click the button and select the account type. Add the account number and we will do the rest.
If you have an Israeli merchant account or Israeli PayPal account and you want to receive payment in other currencies using this account, you will find very quickly that conversion rates and foreign fees can add up and cost quite a bit. That is why we offer to add foreign accounts that that will cost much less. If you have a US PayPal account for example, your fees on USD will be much lower and no conversion is needed.
